Harun Or Rashid Dudu: Kutch fish collected from various canal bills and rivers of Jhenaigati upazila on the border of Sherpur are being commercially exported to Dhaka. These indigenous fishermen fished the winter in the early hours of the day, and collected Tk 250 to 270 kg after evening, to the peasants of Dhanashail, Warua and Jhenaigati markets in the upazila by hunting the hunted fish from Gazameribari, Maharshi river, Kirtimariabil, Dhariparabil, Jhagarabarabaril, Tanchaababil and Katakhali bills. Gives fish collectors. Local peasants took 200 to 300 kilograms of cooked fish to the Dhaka House Building at around 11:30 pm from Jhenyagati Sadar leaving Dhaka for Duckpura bus. Kancha fish trader from different villages of Jhenaigati upazila said, we collect this fish every day and sell it for sale in Dhaka and then we have some profits to run our family. Jahurul Islam of Dhanashail village of the upazila said that I have been engaged in the business of this Kuch fish for 4 years. Because of the demand of this fish locally, buying fish and selling it in Dhaka, I earn livelihood by earning it. Upazila fisheries officer Mohammad Sirajus Salehin informed about his work in the Kuchhen fish, the officer told the representative that 60 people in 20 sub-districts have been trained in the cultivation of Kuche fish, they are now being benefited by commercially cultivating kuche fishes. The price of this fish has increased, because of its huge demand in Dhaka, many fish farmers are falling in the cultivation of Kuchch. The fisheries official said that compared to other fish farming, this work has reduced labor and cost of cultivating this fish.
