Staff Reporter: Aman rice harvest festival is going on in Jhenaigati upazila of Sherpur district. Desperate peasants, because of the low prices of rice in the house, the poor rice market is low. Talking to the farmers, the prices of rice in the market are low because the Aman collection is not started officially. Farmers also said that some amounts of losses due to selling aman paddy per rice rice from 6 to 7 hundred rupees. According to the Jinnaigati Upazila Agriculture Office sources, aman cultivation was determined in 7 unions of Jhinaigati upazila this year, 14 thousand 635 hectare, and acquired 14 thousand 700 hectares aman was cultivated. However, every hectare yields five metric tons of fertilizer. Farmer Abdul Hai said, now aman crop is good. But the rice is being harvested at Tk 5 to 6 thousand acres. Upazila Agriculture Officer Humayun Kabir said, due to good weather and fertilizer management, it is better to produce crop.
