Harun or Rashid Dudu : The birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's birth anniversary and National Children's Day-2014 has been celebrated in Jhenaigati upazila of Sherpur. Upazila administration organized a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in the morning on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birth anniversary and National Children's Day in the morning on 17th March. Later, a Rally with the students of different educational institutions offered the main road to the upazila city. At the end of the rally, a discussion meeting was held in the chairmanship of Upazila Parishad Chhatra under Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rubel Mahmud. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rashedul Hasan, OC Biplob Kumar Biswas, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dipak Sarker, Upazila Agriculture Officer Humayun Kabir, OC (Investigation) Abdul Kader, Joint Convener of Upazila Juba League joint convener Shah Alam spoke. Police administration, Upazila level officials, political leaders, freedom fighters, journalists were present in the discussion meeting. A discussion of the life of Bangabandhu on a day-long discussion, painting and writing competition, prayer at the religious place of worship, prize distribution, documentary display and cultural program were organized.
