Staff Reports : In the absence of proper marketing, due to lack of capital, lack of proper marketing, the traditional bamboo cane of Jhenaigati upazila on the border of Sherpur is in the way of extinction. Millions of laborers engaged in this industry are living in harmony with family and family. Presently the workers are in bad times. At one time this profession was very good, then there were dali, koola, chapar, chulao, chati, dol, handpill, palo, cane chair, table, book cell, dome, various toys, swing etc with bamboo and cane. From village to city people used bamboo and cane accessories. Today, due to the use of tree and bamboo monastery in the brick kilns of brick kilns, tree plantation and bamboo climbs are increasing due to rising prices of bamboo and cane. As a result, workers employed in these profession can not afford their capital. On the other hand, many people used to have left the job of father-in-law and got involved in other occupations because of using iron, steel, aluminum and other utensils. Talking to several families who are making dali, basil, and tea in the Naokuchi area of the upazila, China Begum, Shamsul and Majid said that the price of bamboo and cane is high and the prices and the prices of our products are reduced. I am very concerned about family and friends. Aaz Majid of Haldigram of Nalkura union of the upazila and Cheese Sangma from Gandigao village told the representative that a rabani or a goose can be sold at Tk 50-60. But it all starts to make it whole day. These fishing equipment can be made more beautiful and attractive. But the cost of the required capital and the production of goods is very low, hence the job does not look good anymore. As a result, lakhs of workers directly and indirectly engaged in this life are living in a dormant life. Even many are thinking about changing jobs. Given the government-private sector assistance, interest-free loans and proper patronage, it is possible to survive and secure the self-reliance of the workers as it is possible for the experienced people to understand.
